Abbaye de Beauport

Founded in 1202 as a Monastery, this 13th century abbey located near the coastal town of Paimpol has been beautifully maintained and restored. It has no roof, but there are a number of attached buildings which are in a good state of preservation, and information is available in several languages.
The abbey houses annual events and exhibitions that add to the charm, and is surrounded by beautiful grounds in which to stroll, including an impressive orchard.
Access to the grounds is free, as well as parking, and a reasonable entry fee is made to go into the abbey.

Domaine Départemental de la Roche-Jagu

Domaine de la Roche-Jagu is a medieval gem originally built in the 15th century, and restored to its former glory in 1968. The chateau is sat in a dramatic position high above a sweeping bend in the Trieux river, and hosts regular exhibitions.
With 64 acres of beautiful gardens and terraces down the hillside to the river, there is plenty to explore and entertain the children. The extensive grounds include a medieval aromatic garden, a potager, and various art installations.
It is free to wander around the grounds and you can visit the chateau for a small entrance fee.
There is also a Café on site and a large carpark.
